Senior Portfolio Advisor

As a Senior Portfolio Advisor, Kate is responsible for managing the relationships of select North American-based clients, including private and public pensions, healthcare organizations, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, and foundations, and advises them on their alternative investment programs. She works closely with clients to understand their investment objectives and offer tailored advice in support of their programs. Kate assist clients with strategy allocation, manager selection, portfolio construction, monitoring and special projects. Kate coordinates Aksia resources on behalf of her clients, acting as an extension of their internal staff. Prior to joining Aksia in February 2015, Kate was Director of New Product and Strategy Development and an Investment Committee Member at 6800 Capital, LLC, a boutique fund of hedge funds in Princeton, NJ. There, she was responsible for setting objectives and strategies and streamlining due diligence processes, in addition to maintaining four diversified multi-manager hedge fund portfolios. Prior to 6800, Kate was a Vice President at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, Alternative Investments Group where she managed strategic and product marketing initiatives for the firm’s hedge fund and 40 Act platforms. Prior to moving into strategy and portfolio management, Kate spent eight years in alternative investment due diligence/research capacities, where she was responsible for due diligence and portfolio development across long/short equity, event driven, relative value, and tactical trading strategies. Kate earned a B.S. degree from Drexel University and has earned the CAIA designation.
