Michael Mahan

Senior Vice President

Michael is a Senior Vice President on the Private Credit team and focuses on a variety of investments, including primaries, co-investments/directs, and secondaries. He is involved in all phases of the investment process including sourcing, due diligence, and monitoring, specializing in direct lending, junior debt, opportunistic credit strategies, and related transactions.

Prior to joining Aksia in 2021, Michael was an Associate Director in the Direct Investments Group at UBS, where he focused on the firm’s efforts to provide private investment opportunities to the Ultra High Net Worth and Family Office client base. In this role, Michael was responsible for all aspects of origination and execution, including opportunity sourcing and evaluation, and distribution of direct investments. He was involved in the execution of transactions spanning preferred direct equity, real estate, co-investments, and other bespoke structures across sectors.

Michael graduated cum laude from Boston College with a BS in Finance
