Sebastiaan van den Berg

Sebastiaan is on the Private Equity team and has over 25 years of experience in leading global private market firms and financial institutions. He works closely with Aksia’s Pan Alts and Private Equity teams to support our EMEA clients’ Private Equity programs.

Prior to joining Aksia, Sebastiaan was Partner, Co-Head GP Equity Solutions at Astorg. Before that, he was the CIO at Arch Capital Group Ltd and prior to this role he was the CIO and Head of Principal Investments at Sun Hung Kai & Co. Sebastiaan spent over 11 years in senior positions at HarbourVest Partners in Hong Kong and Alpinvest Partners in Amsterdam. He started his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs.

Sebastiaan graduated from the University of Amsterdam with a Doctorandus in International Financial Economics. He holds an MSc in Economics from The London School of Economics.
