Aksia w/ MS 582 Chess Program

Once up-pawn a time… Aksia partnered with the NYC Public School MS-582 to help expand and support the school’s chess club. Our goal – further the student’s growth and intellectual curiosity. We have supported the MS-582 chess team since 2016 and we are excited to be meeting with the students regularly again! We meet with the chess team at their after-school program where we talk tactics and strategies and engage in rigorous games of chess. Our program supports all their chess needs, including new equipment, teachers, and trips to both state and national chess tournaments. We’ve really enjoyed spending time with these extraordinary kids, and we look forward to our next chess game!
